The Abigails have been invited to volunteer with the Loop iT Up Savannah's March Book Box Library Project at Gadsden Elementary School. Loop iT Up partners with schools and community organizations to deliver original arts-integrated programs that support personal well-being, foster creative problem-solving, and promote academic achievement among Savannah’s youth.
Volunteers are needed for the Painting and Book Fair sessions to assist students during painting activities and book selection, ensuring ample supervision and guidance for participants.
We are invited to engage with four kindergarten classrooms and you may attend as many sessions as your schedules allow.
The schedule is as follows:
Painting Session #1: Thursday, 3/12 & Friday, 3/13 from 12:15 - 2:15pm (up to 6 volunteers per day)
Painting Session #2: Thursday, 3/19 & Friday, 3/20 from 12:15 - 2:15pm (up to 6 volunteers per day)
Week 4 – Book Fair: Thursday, 3/26 & Friday, 3/27 from 12:15 - 2:15pm (up to 25 volunteers per day)
All volunteers must complete the SCCPSS background check procedure, which is straightforward and can be completed online in a matter of minutes. Once you have registered, you will get more information on the background check process.
