We are pleased to begin the New Year by welcoming our January speaker, Superior Court Judge Lisa Goldwire Colbert. Judge Colbert will guide us in decoding the inner workings of Superior Court to help us better understand the intricacies of the judicial court system.
Instrumental in bringing Homeless Court to Chatham County, Judge Colbert will also provide an overview of this innovative program which assists people experiencing homelessness break down legal barriers and resolve legal issues outside the traditional court room. Judge Colbert will share with us how Homeless Court works in collaboration with service agencies to help individuals stabilize their lives and access benefits.
The event is open to all registered Abigails members and their guests.
