Happy New Year, Abigails! Our first Potluck Dinners of 2025 will be held on Sunday, February 16. Come gather ‘round the table at the home of a fellow Abigail with about eight compatible folks, and enjoy friendly conversation and a delicious dinner in a small group.
Following the pattern most of us learned in New Neighbors, we will have a host and six or seven diners in each home. The host will prepare the entree, and the other Abigails will bring an appetizer, salad, or dessert, as requested by the host. At these events, “Plus Ones” are encouraged - but not required! (In the past, slightly over half the Abigails brought their husbands, and over a third came by themselves.)
If this sounds like fun to you (it is!), please register by Friday, February 7 to let us know that you will be coming to the February 16 Potluck Dinner, if you are bringing a “Plus One,” - and if you are willing to host. We usually have five or six hosts. More hosts mean more parties of eight!
When we get the names of willing hosts, the chair will match the Abigails and their “Plus Ones” to each home. Each host will then contact the Abigails coming to her home with inquiries about pets and food allergies, as well as information about the start time, menu contribution requests, and the host’s address.
