At the Savannah Economic Development Authority the mission doesn’t get any clearer: to help create, grow, and attract new job opportunities and investment in the Savannah region. Whether a business is looking to relocate to the Savannah region or an existing business is ready to expand, SEDA provides the connection to needed resources.
To better understand the role of SEDA in the community, we are pleased to have as our January speaker, Hugh “Trip” Tollison, the President and CEO of the Savannah Economic Development Authority, which includes the World Trade Center Savannah and the Savannah Regional Film Commission. Trip will discuss Savannah’s changing economic landscape, the growth impact on the Savannah area and its resources, and his vision for future development.
Mr. Tollison currently serves as the Secretary/Treasure for the Savannah Harbor Interstate 16 Corridor Joint Development Authority which includes Bryan, Bullish, Chatham and Effingham counties.
He is the Chair of the Georgia Economic Developers Association and serves on the board of directors for the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, the Savannah Convention Center Authority and the Savannah Music Festival. He is the past president of the Rotary Club of Savannah and former chairman of the Second Harvest Food Bank.
