Hamiltons December Program on Savannah's Landlord-Tenant Issues

Please join the Skidaway Hamiltons for a meeting with attorneys from Georgia Legal Services in Savannah.  Managing Attorney Bill Broker and Staff Attorney Shaina Thompson are on the front lines fighting on behalf of low-income people facing the loss of their homes.  They both work with Georgia Legal Services, the sole source of legal help for those facing eviction in Savannah. They will present on the daily struggles people in the community face in attempting to maintain their home, a struggle made more difficult because of the COVID pandemic. These attorneys bring a unique perspective as they negotiate with landlords, appear in local courts on behalf of tenants, and interface with rental assistance programs, as they are fully familiar with he issues the community faces.
