Affordable Housing is one of the most critical issues facing our community. Martin Fretty, Director, Housing and Neighborhood Services, City of Savannah, will focus on the Housing Savannah Action Plan and other work just completed by Mayor Van John-son’s Housing Savannah Task Force. The Task Force spent 11 months working together to develop the Plan which was submitted to Mayor Johnson on July 12, 2021 and shared with the public the next day.
Our speaker, Martin Fretty, will be sharing some brief videos of people for whom affordable housing is a critical issue. The videos will feature a homeless mom, senior renter, senior homeowner, and young home buyer along with organizations and employers who helped them with their housing needs. The videos will shine light on the challenges and the opportunities of those who need housing in Savannah, and on those helping meet that need.
