Challenges Presented by COVID for Chatham County Superior Court
When the pandemic hit in March 2020, courts in Chatham County had to shift to an entirely new way of doing business while continuing to provide essential services without interruption and fulfilling their constitutional obligations to our citizens. Like many other organizations, the court embraced technology and video conferencing to remain “open for business.” Now that the Georgia Supreme Court has allowed jury trials to resume, the courts are holding trials again while facing new logistical challenges.
