In honor of the passage of the 19th Amendment and in preparation for our push to get out the vote, the Abigails is going to do an in depth look this September into how women have struggled and fought to win the right to cast their ballot.
The America We Need Discussion group will use as their text the Special Section from the New York Times from August 16, 2020. It can be accessed on line at: www.nytimes.com/spotlight/women-suffrage-100
We will meet via Zoom on Friday morning at 9:30 am on September 4 and 25. The specific articles for discussion will be sent out after you register for the meeting.
