What’s at Stake in the 2020 Election?
Plenty! WAG (Women Advocating for Georgians, the Abigails advocacy group) presents a pre-election primer to help us understand better just how the results of this election will shape the lives of Americans dealing with healthcare, the unprecedented pandemic, racial justice, the right and opportunity to vote – and democracy itself.
The program will be led by Aunna Dennis, Executive Director of Common Cause Georgia, a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to “Putting Power Back in the Hands of Georgians.” Common Cause uses coalition building, lobbying, litigation, grassroots organizing, research, and policy development to inform voters and hold public officials accountable and responsive to the citizens of Georgia.
In addition to Aunna's presentation, WAG representatives will outline the platforms and positions of candidates in major Georgia races.
